DLF/Duraspace E-Science Institute

E-Science is a large and complex topic that touches every branch of natural and social sciences. The DLF/DuraSpace E-Science Institute, now in its third year, provides a learning experience designed to help participants develop sound strategic approaches to exploring and supporting e-science research within their organizations.

The Institute takes small teams of individuals chosen by participating research libraries and strengthens their e-science support role. The experiences begin mid-year, when each team works on a specific assignment, coordinated through the program, at its institution. The Institute culminates in a workshop where teams produce strategic agendas for e-science/e-research support for their organizations. Teams do their assignments simultaneously, and each team attends the workshop to allow richer group interaction.
