DPLA Content & Scope Workstream
The Content & Scope Workstream was part of a grassroots community collaboration to create a workplan and prototype for the Digital Public Library of America. One of six workstreams, the Content & Scope workstream consisted of collaborators and conveners from all over the country, with a variety of interests and specializations. The workstream identified content and made recommendations for collection development policy for DPLA. To accomplish this it addressed questions regarding management and access to distributed materials. It focused on features of digital content such as copyright status, bibliographic data, metadata, interoperability, and international cooperation.
DLF Director Rachel Frick co-chaired the Content & Scope workstream, and now co-chairs the Content Strategy Committee, which was formed in spring 2013.
