PLEASE NOTE: The application period for the 2012 Postdoctoral Fellowship program is now closed. The application cycle for 2013 will start in autumn 2012. The information presented below is from the latest application cycle and is provided as background only.
Important Dates
Applications and all accompanying information must be submitted to CLIR's online application system no later than December 19, 2011, 11:59 P.M. EST.
Fellowships will begin in summer 2012 (dates vary by institution). The postdoctoral fellowship seminar will be held in late July 2012 at Bryn Mawr College.

Host Institutions
Fellows are placed at diverse institutions from large research universities to small liberal arts colleges across the country. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of subject expertise or geographic preference. Position descriptions for 2012 will be posted on this page as they become available. The following institutions will be offering fellowship placements. More information may be found by clicking on the institution's name. Host institutions will be identified throughout the application and selection process, so a comprehensive list will not be available before the December 19, 2011 application deadline.

Application and Selection Process
A complete application consists of the following items submitted through CLIR's online application system:
- a completed and submitted online application form
- c.v.
- three letters of reference submitted by reference providers through the online application system
- graduate school transcripts
Before applying, please ensure that you
- received your Ph.D. after January 1, 2007; and
- are available for a mandatory seminar in late July 2012.
