CLIR Fellow, Knowledge & Library Services
Summary: This one-year term position will be responsible for an in-depth study on establishing the 21st century academic business management library, concentrating on such topics as digital scholarship, data management, digital preservation and metadata repositories. Also, the position will require researching and analyzing emerging trends in these areas, both in academic libraries and the information industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, investigate and participate in planning and execution of research as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Trend watch and stay up to date on general academic library trends that impact KLS and its mission.
- Present the status of research projects on a regular basis, and present final findings to the KLS community and possibly beyond.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Working Relationships:
Fellow will report to the Executive Director and work in collaboration with the KLS Leadership Team and the Professional Knowledge Exchange program lead.
Requirements:
- Strong research skills from design to reporting findings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to take complex topics and present them in clear and concise forms.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability and/or interest in identifying, analyzing and communicating best practices in information sciences as they relate to higher education.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups within an organization and with its stakeholders.
