Global Digital Libraries Collaborative
About the Collaborative
Promoting coordination and communication about the development of digital libraries….
First jointly convened by Stanford University Libraries and CLIR-DLF in 2009, the Global Digital Libraries Collaborative is an informal community seeking to promote cooperation among libraries, archives, museums, and other guardians of worldwide cultural heritage. Its purpose is to facilitate deep, international collaboration for research and development related to digital library collections and tools in order to maximize cost efficiencies and user access. Representatives of university and national libraries attended an inaugural meeting in November 2009 and a workshop in May 2010; they plan to work together on projects and hold additional meetings in the future.
Current states of projects can be found at the sites linked below.
