Hybrid Systems Approach to Preservation of Printed Materials Analyzes the interrelationships between microfilm and digital technologies applied to the preservation of and access to deteriorating print materials. Finds that a hybrid system combining both film and digital imaging could be best overall design for current preservation needs, while a digital image-based preservation system is most promising solution for printed materials.
