1960s-Present
1960s Sponsors first international conference on cataloging principles in Paris.
1970s Funds IFLA project to transition from a European organization to global library organization.
1980s Supports IFLA to create programs in preservation, transborder data flow, and develop international MARC.
1990s Creates Committee on Preservation and Access publications and programs in Greece, Brazil, China, South Africa, and Venezuela
2000s Administers global public library grants to connect people to computers; launches global dissertation research fellowships (ongoing).
2010s Organizes series of global digital library meetings; launches Rovelstad Scholarship in International Librarianship. Begins many ongoing global programs.
