SCOPE

To investigate issues directly related to the integration of USMARC collection-level cataloging records and SGML finding aids created at different institutions into a single decentralized knowledge base that can be searched and which will point to digital images of primary source materials stored on distributed sources. (still seeking funding).

Certificate in Data Curation

A new post-masters certificate program in data curation is now available at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Geared toward practicing professionals who are responsible for digital or data curation, the program emphasizes policy and technology in an intensive and extensive two-year, 30 credit hour program.
