CLIR Board Member Joey King Appointed President of Lyon College

We are pleased to share the news, announced today, that Lyon College has appointed W. Joseph (Joey) King as its next president, effective July 1, 2017. We congratulate Mr. King and wish him well in this new phase of a career that is distinguished by a long history of contributions to liberal arts education.

Mr. King will continue to serve as interim executive director of NITLE between now and July. He will work with the NITLE Advisory Council in identifying and drafting a description of new roles and functions for which NITLE might take responsibility. He will also assist in reaching out to prospective new NITLE members to ascertain interest in, and the longer-term sustainability of, a reinvigorated institute, with the goal of presenting recommendations to CLIR’s board in spring 2017.

Mr. King will also continue his service as a valued member of the CLIR board.
