Clir News No. 152

April-March 2023

Since its founding in 2004, CLIR’s postdoctoral fellowship program has provided a unique opportunity for recent Ph.D. recipients to gain experience in academic libraries, archives, and museums. This prestigious fellowship program, which is highly competitive, has supported over 200 postdoctoral fellows who have gone on to make significant contributions in the field of library and information science.

In this series, we will take a closer look at where CLIR postdoc fellows are now and highlight some of their accomplishments since completing their fellowships. From leadership positions in academic libraries to tenured faculty positions in universities, CLIR postdoc fellows have gone on to achieve great success and make important contributions in their fields. We will explore the impact of CLIR’s postdoc program on the careers of its alumni and showcase some of the exciting projects and initiatives that they have led.

This edition’s focus is on Charlotte Nunes, who served as a CLIR postdoctoral fellow between 2014 to 2016. Nunes was recently appointed as the Dean of Libraries at Lafayette College, having previously served as Interim Dean and Director of Digital Scholarship Services.
