What have we learned from recent studies of scholarly information users? Seven speakers reviewed findings from the Pew study of Internet use, the DLF/Outsell Study, and ARL’s LibQual studies. A representative of Wiley Interscience reported on that publisher’s efforts to understand users’ expectations and behaviors. The symposium concluded with a discussion of findings from a new survey that CLIR commissioned to compare the many user studies that have been done in recent years.
